A Sneaky Peak Into My World

A sneaky peek into my world. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I will be sharing a sneaky peek into my world. Many bloggers believe it’s essential to write about themselves in their blogs. This allows readers to connect with them on a personal level. In that spirit, I’d like to share five things about myself. If you find that we have anything in common, feel free to give us a shout-out and say hello! Who knows? We could become friends. As time passes, I plan on doing an update to see if there are any changes about me that I’d like to share with my readers. This will help us connect more deeply and create a more meaningful relationship.

A Sneaky Peak Into My World

I Have A Big Family

Coming from an extensive family background has its challenges and advantages. On the one hand, it can be difficult to keep in touch with all the members, especially when some live far away. However, on the other hand, it also means that you have an extensive support system and many people to turn to in times of need. In my case, I have two younger siblings, two older step-sisters, and ten other siblings, uncles, aunties, and cousins back home in Nigeria, West Africa. Even though it has been 15 years since I last visited home, I still feel connected to my family and culture. I plan to make a trip soon and reunite with my loved ones.

Beyhive

As a self-proclaimed member of the Beyhive, it’s safe to say that I am a massive fan of Beyonce’s music and artistry. From her powerful vocals to her dynamic dance moves, I am constantly in awe of her talent. Despite my fandom, however, I have never purchased any of her albums, movies, or products. Strangely, I enjoy her music and performances without owning any physical merchandise. That being said, I did name my daughter after Beyonce’s alter ego, Sasha Fierce, as I find the name to be both strong and feminine. In addition to Beyonce’s music, I sincerely appreciate reggae and dancehall music, as the beats and rhythms never get me moving or grooving.

All-natural beauty

As a woman, I value self-expression and confidence more than anything else. I believe that makeup should be an option, not a necessity. While I appreciate the art and beauty of makeup, I prefer to present myself more naturally and authentically. That’s why you’ll rarely see me with makeup unless it’s a special occasion. As a blogger, I want to stay true to my values and who I am. That’s why I won’t be posting any content related to makeup or beauty, except for maybe some skincare tips that align with my beliefs. True beauty comes from within, and focusing on self-care and self-love is essential instead of constantly trying to alter our appearances.

Independent

The importance of being an independent woman cannot be overstated. It is a trait that is highly valued in today’s society. As someone who identifies as an independent woman, I value my ability to care for myself and not rely on anyone else for my needs. I am a workaholic, taking pride in supporting myself and achieving my goals through hard work and determination. However, I also realise that there are times when I need to ask for help, whether for advice or assistance with a task. Knowing when to ask for help is a crucial aspect of being an independent woman, and it is something that I strive to keep in mind as I navigate through my daily life.

Dance

Dancing is one of my favourite hobbies and passions. I particularly enjoy hip-hop, street dance, and dancehall dancing styles, as they allow me to express myself uniquely. I love watching movies and videos that showcase these dance styles when I’m not dancing. Some of my all-time favourite dance movies include “Step Up”, “Save the Last Dance”, and “Honey.”  I also love watching dance videos on YouTube, like Aliya Jannell, Jersey Maniscalco, and WildBeast. Watching these talented dancers perform inspires me to improve my skills and try new dance moves. Overall, dancing brings me so much joy and fulfilment in life.

Enteruprener At Heart

I have been enamoured with the business and artistic worlds since I was a young child. The process by which businesspeople generate original ideas and turn them into profitable ventures has always intrigued me. I grew up in a family where everyone was an entrepreneur and ran their own business. From my cousins to my aunties, each had a unique business idea and approach to entrepreneurship. This environment instilled in me a strong desire to follow in their footsteps and carve out my path in the business world. I am grateful for the inspiration and guidance that my family has provided me, and I am excited to see where my entrepreneurial journey will take me.

Baking Over Cooking

I love baking rather than cooking. Due to my disability, I have always been placed in a particular position that limits my ability to engage in activities that require a lot of physical effort. Baking has always allowed me to express my creativity and passion for cooking without exerting too much. The ability to create something delicious and beautiful with my hands brings me a sense of joy and accomplishment that I cannot describe in words. Baking has also become a way to connect with others and share my love for food with those around me. It is a therapeutic and fulfilling activity that I cherish deeply.

Simple Fashion With a Little Spark

When it comes to fashion, I believe that simplicity can speak volumes. Living in Scotland, where the weather can be chilly and damp, there isn’t much opportunity to showcase exciting fashion. We tend to dress warmly every single day of the year, even during the summer. However, I have found that despite limited options, there is still a way to express oneself through fashion. For me, it’s all about pairing simple jeans with a blouse, jumper, and coat and adding accessories such as a hat, scarf, and gloves. This creates a stylish yet practical look appropriate for the Scottish weather.

Introvert

As an introvert, I am more comfortable in solitude than social situations. While some people thrive on socialising, I prefer to spend my time alone, engaging in activities that recharge my mental batteries. Spending time alone is not a sign of being anti-social or reclusive. Instead, it ensures I have the space and time to engage in self-reflection, introspection, and creative activities. When alone, I am more productive and focused and can tap into my innermost thoughts and emotions. Being an introvert has helped me understand myself and my needs better, and I am grateful for the peace of mind that comes with spending time alone.

Look Ahead

Before I do something or say something, I always try to see things from different perspectives. I believe that understanding different views is crucial in building empathy and having meaningful interactions with people. This approach has helped me avoid misunderstandings and conflicts and has allowed me to appreciate the diversity of opinions and experiences that exist in the world. By taking the time to consider different perspectives, I can weigh the pros and cons of different actions and decisions and make choices that align with my values and goals. Seeing things from multiple angles also helps me to challenge my assumptions and biases, which is essential for personal growth and development.

In conclusion, sharing personal stories and experiences can help foster deeper connections with readers. I hope this sneak peek into my world has helped you get to know me a little better. From my love for family, music, dance, and entrepreneurship to my preference for all-natural beauty and baking over cooking, these aspects of my life make me who I am today.

I look forward to sharing more with you and getting to know you better.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and I hope you have a wonderful day.
