Five Fun Skills I Would Love To Learn

Five Fun Skills I Would Love To Learn. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I will be sharing five Fun skills I have always wanted to learn. You know when you see people doing something creative, and you say, ‘Wow, I want to learn how to do that, or you ask yourself, ‘How do they do it?’ Yes, I am that kind of person.

Five Fun Skills I Would Love To Learn

Magic

I know what you are thinking right now. ‘Oh Sonia, familiar, we all know there is no magic. Etc. I am not even going to debate if it’s real or not. However, I would love to learn how to do magic (I think we all would want to know how to do magic). I find it exciting when something disappears and reappears. Imagine how my life would have been if I had such power.

Ice Skating

I had tried Ice Skating before but hated it because I kept falling. However, I would love to learn how to skate. It looks so much fun. Especially when I watch the Olympics games and watch how they dance, it is excellent.

Ballroom Dancing

I love dancing and believe I am a good dancer (as I have been told). Call me old-fashioned, but ballroom dancing is something I have never tried. I love how open the dancing is in the ballroom, and I would like to experience it. Alongside ballroom dancing, I am very keen on learning Salsa dancing too.

Floral Art

This is a skill that has been on my mind like forever. I am not a garden person, but I like flowers and how they are used to create something dramatic sometimes. Especially when you see the art and would not think that it is made out of flowers.

Jewellery Making

I am thinking about going to a class for this. It has always been on my mind since I was in my late teens/the early twenties. I am sure it will be something I can do quite easily. Also, it would be nice to make some friends while learning something as a beginner.

There you have it, five fun skills I would love to learn. I hope you enjoyed it. It is never too late to learn anything you are keen on. I have learnt to take my time with life because if you rush it, things might go wrong.

What skills do you want to learn? Let me know in the comments below.

I hope you enjoyed that.

I would love to learn ballroom dancing! I have a daughter and one on the way and am embarrassed to say that I don’t know how to braid. I would love to learn and be able to do fun styles as they grow up!

I, too, would love to learn ballroom dancing. I have taken a couple of free classes and would love to have the opportunity to do more.

A couple of the other things you desire to learn, like ice skating and jewelry making I have already done. The types of things I would love to learn more of, I’m afraid would be quite dangerous given my age.

I learned to skateboard when in my 40s and am now in my mid-50s and it is such a risk for me to do this again. However, as I take my children all around Florida to various skateparks and watch the endless youtube videos of skateboarders I find I want to get back on the board. I know, it’s not wise but it is just so much fun!

I also want to get back into surfing as I didn’t learn that until I was in my mid-40s and I never really mastered it. Once I started fostering and then adopting babies that were too young to swim or be alone on the shore while I surfed, I had to hang up that goal for a while. But once my youngest can be left on shore with his big brother (and he knows how to swim) then I want to go back out into the ocean on my board.

I also want to complete my first 100-mile bike ride called a Century Ride. The furthest I have ridden was 79 miles. I was due to ride my first Century ride the weekend after I complete the 79 miles but I ended up taking in a baby and since I’m single, I could not leave him to ride. So the bike got put on the back-burner as well. I also want to get back into running. My goal was also to complete a 100-mile ultra while I was still able to run.

This is a great list and they all sounds like a lot of fun. I’ve done jewelry making and it is pretty relaxing, and pays off at the end. I wish you luck with learning all of these!

Ballroom dancing has actually always had a place on my list as well. I keep telling my husband that we need to take a class together someday soon. Maybe I’ll make 2020 the year that I stop saying someday and just make it happen!

Ice Skating is so hard. I have done it a few times and just cannot get the hang of it. I wish it was as easy as snowboard with I picked up in a day. am sure you can learn all these skills. Good luck Sonia!

Learning a new skill every year is good for you. I would love to learn magic and make all my problems disappear. I rollerbladed most of my teens and then tried ice skating. Different techniques and strengths. I fell and that was the end of it. Ballroom dancing now that has gone extinct. A japanese friend of mine is into floral art and jewellery making is an amazing skill set to have a good revenue generator.

You should definitely take up a new skill! We should always be learning new skills, it opens up new worlds and teaches us a bit more about ourselves! Plus, it’s a great way to meet new people! I’ve done a few of these! My sister used to make jewellery so I learned a lot from here and helped her out on some projects, it’s a lot of fun! When I moved to Italy, I noticed almost everyone does some form of Latin dancing. It’s so beautiful to watch and I would love to learn so I can join in too!

There is no reason you can’t learn all of these skills! It is never too late to learn. I bet the local library may have some classes on floral design, ballroom dancing and maybe even jewelry making. If not I know you can find some lessons on YouTube. Find a skating rink and sign up for some lessons. My niece did it a few years back and became quite good. As for magic, that one might be tough. Magicians never tell their secrets but you’re right, I’d love to learn magic. Especially sleight of hand tricks. It’s never too late Sonia! Go for it!

I’d love to learn some of these skills as well. I’ve tried ice skating once but I’d love to do it again. Flower arrangements is something I’d like to learn too.

Just go for it, Sonia. You can learn anything nowadays with the help of the internet, but going to a class would be great. I used to make jewellery. I was self-taught, but had a passion for jewellery at the time, and a big dose of creativity. It was fun.

Magic DOES exist and I’m positive you will master it! Good on you girl! Learning new skills is SO good for the soul and personal development. You’re a fantastic role model for your daughter. Good luck and I hope we see your next post about your new learned skills & journey. Cheers!

I tried ice-skating, but never got past the falling stage. I know that if you keep going, you will learn to do it without falling. Practice makes perfect and all that. I would like very much like to get a lot better at editing photographs and creating graphics.
