Five Things I Have Learnt In My Twenties

Five Things I Have Learnt In My Twenties. Hey everyone, I hope you are well. It’s my last year in my 20s, and I would like to share five things I learned in my 20s. It has been a long journey with a lot of substantial life-changing experiences. We all have imagined and dreamt of how exciting and fun a young adult’s life would be. However, life is just life. Unfortunately, it has a different route for you. With that being said, I can’t wait to Celebrate life at 29.

Five Things I Have Learnt In My Twenties

Life Is A Battlefield But Can Be A Paradise

Life is a journey. Everyone is on a different journey. Sometimes the things you want in 5 years may not come to path no matter how hard you work at them. Sometimes the people you meet will eventually become your enemies. It’s Life.

Relationships

Regarding relationships, starting as friends is better for building a strong and healthy relationship with your partner. That way, you learn more about each other, creating a solid enough foundation to start a relationship. It is said to ‘Marry your best friend’.

Friendships

Let’s be clear friends are individuals with similar interests and hobbies who decide to build a friendship based on that. However, we don’t seem to realise that we are still growing and our interests and hobbies will change along the way. That’s when I feel things go wrong. For example, a group of friends like to play basketball, and then one day, a person out of the group decides that they prefer to attend a ballet class. Two different things but the same person. We fail to understand and be open-minded about each other lifestyles. So, therefore, you will find out that the group will collapse, and they will be each other enemies.

Education and Careers

As long as you are fit and healthy, you can achieve anything. Life can make things extremely difficult to get where you want to be. Education is critical. It’s the road that leads to having a successful career. We all have a dream to become somebody in the future. The only way you get that is through education. Whatever life throws at you, you can achieve anything as long as you breathe.

Save! Save! Save!

When people talk about savings, you will automatically think of finance. Although it is advisable that you must save your money, I am not talking about it. I am talking about keeping your energy, love, and time for all the positive things life can give you. Remove yourself from any negativity. Life is so short and precious. Please do not waste it.

I hope you enjoyed that.

Remove yourself from any negativity. Yes, as you get older the more it applies. To have few friends but of great quality are cherished. This applies to material things too. It’s a great thing that you’ve learn early so you can do better life decisions. Good read here.

I like your last lesson the best 🙂 I think in hindsight I would have gotten much more sleep while I could and not wasted so much time out late…but that’s maybe a lesson for the 30s – hahaha!

Great points! I especially love the one about saving for all of the positive things life can give us and removing ourselves from negativity. 😀

All of your points are great ones and you are fortunate you’ve learned them early in life. As I’m sure the knowledge you have gained will influence any decisions or steps you make moving forward.
