Five Things I Love About Myself. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I will reflect on the five things I love about myself in today’s post. We are all used to thinking, listening and saying negative about ourselves. However, this year I choose not to be negative about anything. It’s about time we stop this and change our mindset. As it’s February and the season of love, I will share the things in my life and why I love them rather than talking about Gifts and Dates ideas.
Five Things I Love About Myself
My strength
I will be 30 years old this year, and I must say, I am proud of all the obstacles I have been through in the last 30 years on earth. I have been through so much that many people have not tasted it. From birth to 30 years later, filled with ups and downs, battle after battle, my life has never been a straight line.
Good Heart
Despite everything that has happened, I still have a good heart. A heart that forgives everyone and a heart that is kind enough to welcome new people into my life. Even those who have hurt me in the worse possible way, I still have a heart that will be pleased to see them one more time.
Uniqueness
Due to my disabilities, I always get misunderstood and misjudged. As soon as people see me or notice that I am an amputee, they start judging or feeling pity for me. Then they began to take advantage of me, which took a ton of confidence; I have learnt to accept and appreciate how I am. Yes, I am different, but guess what? You are too. I am not normal, and neither are you.
Natural Beauty
This is something I will forever cherish. If you don’t know, I am a makeup-free type of girl. Some people say maybe it’s because I am just not into makeup and stuff. Probably that’s true. However, I appreciate that I can walk around makeup-free all day, every day. I am not saying Makeup is terrible because I sometimes wear makeup to parties. These days, when you embrace your natural beauty, people are ready to attack you. This is going to happen no matter what I do.
So why not be natural on your way up? Through my natural beauty, I have been accepted in beauty pageants, walked down fashion shows, and become a model. I am still beautiful to both men and women through my natural beauty. And my natural beauty makes anything possible because beauty comes from the inside out. There is no other way around it. I have been through so much, yet my darling, my smiles and kind, loving heart never changed.
Ambitious
Being an ambitious person is my strength. I think I have managed to become successful after going through many things that many people will not be able to survive because I am very ambitious. When I see something or have a vision of something, I won’t stop until I see it through. It doesn’t matter what it is or how many things you are ambitious about. Ever since I was a victim of bullies in school, it made me angry that I was treated that way. However, I did not negatively use my anger. I decided to be creative and fight a silent war to become a hero for myself. I am proud of the positive things that I have done.
When you are ambitious, you become a fighter. You won’t stop because you can’t stop. Your mindset will not let you. It’s almost a voice constantly telling you there must be a way out. It would help if you found a way out. I believe one day, people will know my name and understand that I am different. And finally, accept that people in this world may look, smell and act differently. My dream is more significant than yours. Nothing is normal. Be a leader, not a follower. That’s how you change the world.
What do you love about yourself?
I enjoyed writing this post. It made me smile all through. Like Wow. Sonia, you should be proud of yourself. I feel it’s essential to speak out many positive things about yourself. It’s okay to have to in your mind, but it’s better when you say, writes and read it out loud. Remember, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter what people talk about or think about you (they will always find something). What matters the most is what you say and feel about yourself.

I love this! This is a great way to reflect on all of your strengths, especially on those hard days when you can only seem to identify your weaknesses. I’ll have to try this!

What an encouraging post! I love that you love all those things about yourself. And more importantly, you are encouraging others to love on themselves as well. Ambition! Now that’s something I need!

What a wonderful post. All of us should give ourselves grace and talk about what we love about ourselves. Kudos to you for doing this!

It’s so important to love ourselves. I also don’t wear make-up , not worth my time and it’s more eco-friendly when you think about all the plastic involved in makeup from brushes to containers. Plus natural beauty just looks better to me. I can always tell when someone has make-up on and it just seems fake.

These reflection is just timely as we’re celebrating the day of love and we can definitely start with self-love. Thank you for sharing this.
