Happy first day at school, Sasha-ann. Yeah, today was my daughter’s first day at Primary 1. I am super proud of her. My baby girl has grown up so quick. Of course, like every mother, I had mixed feelings about it. Part of me is sad to see her leaving home and into the world without protection. The other part of me is proud that she’s growing up and that I raised her all by myself- with some support, of course.
Happy First Day At School
Today was just a trial, and it will be the same for the next few weeks. So the kids are not being rushed to the new schedule from Nursery school to Primary School. It was a short day, and it will be in the same time range for the next few weeks.
When I got home, the house was tranquil, that you could hear a pin drop. I started missing her, thinking about her, hoping she’s having fun, like the new school and making new friends. It’s funny because I have millions of things to do when she was at home, but I couldn’t do them now that she’s not home? Does that make any sense? It felt like everything else was not necessary anymore.
However, when I picked her up from school, I did wish I had to use the time to complete things. Sasha had fun, though, at school. She made three friends already. It’s incredible how easy it is for children to make friends. I wish it were the same in the adult world. Like four strangers become friends in the space of 3 hours.
I am delighted with Sasha. She looked so beautiful, healthy and ready to grab every opportunity to learn and make new friends. Baby girl, You made mummy PROUD. I am very proud to say my daughter is in Primary School. This goes out to everyone that has ever judged my ability to be a good mum. Telling me I can’t do this, and I can’t do that. Look at me now. This is just the beginning.
