How to Make Your Mind Work For You

How to Make Your Mind Work For You. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I will be sharing the perfect four-step guide on how to make your mind work for you. There are many ‘mind control’ workshops, and it seems like everyone has become an expert on the subject of mind these days. At the workshop, an enthusiastic speaker will present you with some ideas, charge you up with his talk, and get you to do some activity, and by the end of the session, you will already feel like the conqueror of the world.

What next? Back home, the enthusiasm he pumped you up with is slowly oozing out…  And, before you know it, you’re back on square one.

Not everyone is a mind expert; sadly, most are just doing business.

To take control of your mind – you’ll have to look at your mind YOURSELF!

So, let’s get ready first to understand what’s the mind…

How to Make Your Mind Work For You

The Mystique of Mind

The mind doesn’t exist on its own! It lives on thoughts… Without thoughts, there can be no mind. That’s why in deep sleep when there are no thoughts, there is no mind.

So, running after the mind is pointless because you’re chasing an illusion. What exists is the thought. Therefore… ‘We’ve got to work upon thought!’

That brings us to the question: what’s thought?

Well, thoughts are made up of the neuron patterns in the brain, which carry the sum of all our memories. They keep spinning energy frequencies in the brain non-stop, and we experience these energy forms as thoughts or thinking.

That brings us down to one final question:

‘How to get your brain to operate at higher frequencies so that it’ll produce the thinking that’ll work FOR you?’

The answer to the big question lies in the four steps below…

How to Make Your Mind Work For You

Take a Holistic Approach

This Universe is a single unit – and today, there’s enough evidence to back that… There’s no individuality in reality because everything depends on one thing or another for survival.

The realization that ‘everything around you is part of you’ will shatter your limited thinking, and you’ll start taking a holistic approach toward life…

Because you’ll then see that everything around you affects the frequency on which your brain works.

For example, everything you eat, your daily activities, your friends’ circle, etc., determines what type of thoughts your brain will produce.

And those thoughts will spur you into action.

So…

For the Body:

  •  Stay on top of your health
  •  Best diet – organic food, NO junk
  • Daily workout

For the Surroundings:

  • Spend time in nature
  • Surround yourself with whatever ‘elevates’ you
  • Befriend positive people
  • Avoid energy suckers

Rewire Your Thought!

Thought is responsible for all your actions and reactions; it makes you successful and a failure.

Thought is the source of your life, but if you try and catch it, you’ll end up in misery because you can never touch energy in its subtlest form.

The only thing you can and MUST do is raise the frequency of your brain, so it produces the right kind of thoughts.

To achieve that, you must realize the difference between imagination and reality because a mind that can’t differentiate between reality and fiction will always ‘misbehave.’

That’s why in spirituality, they say when the veil of illusions falls off your mind and you see the reality – you become enlightened.

To bring your mind back to reality, you do the following…

Affirmations (Best before sleep):

  • I’m the Universe
  • I’m Fearless
  • I’m Limitless

Study Spiritual Stuff:

  • The Power of Now (Eckhart Tolle)
  • Inner Engineering (Sadhguru)
  • From Bondage to Freedom (Osho)
  • Poetry of Rumi

Meditation:

  • Chanting a mantra
  • Focus on a particular object
  • Practising surrender

There are innumerable affirmations, books or meditation practices, and you can choose the ones that best suit you! See what’s best for you, and then STICK TO IT!

Questioning Your Worries

FACT: In the United States alone, 40 million adults suffer from anxiety!

A mind in a state of constant worry and stress will never be able to function at its peak. Because it’s always caught in anxiety and working through the fight or flight mode (defensive), it can never create something positive.

Get this straight: Your mind will only work FOR you when it’s free of the shackles of worry!

The best way to get free of your worries is by questioning their reality.

Do This:

Take a piece of paper and pen down all your worrisome thoughts on it… Write in as much detail as possible. Now comprehensively analyze each idea. Crack the patterns in your thoughts. Test them against reality.

With continuous practice, you’ll get rid of worry! Because you’ll see that most of your fears are just fantasies with no truth to them…

This method is called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT) in psychology.

Google the best CBT methods yourself and start right away.

Sit in Silence

The mind is always restless (chattering), which is why you cannot focus!

To achieve control over the mind, you’ll have to quiet it up, but you can’t force it to be quiet. Using force will do the opposite, and it’ll create further restlessness.

The way to control the mind is not ‘doing’ but ‘non-doing.’

Do nothing! Just sit in silence for ten minutes every day. Drop everything on the level of your mind and BE!

This is a great practice and can do you wonders…

Implement Right Now!

A trick your mind will now play upon you is stalling – don’t fall for that!

The four steps you’ve read up there can change your life…

Use them to make up your plan and get started NOW before you fall prey to procrastination!

I hope you enjoyed that.

My bosses do this all the time. I’m starting to think that I should learn this, too, because life is just darn hard sometimes, and it’s easy to fall into the voices we hear all the time.

Very valid topic with valid tips. Brain training Keeping the brain active is an important aspect of brain health. Challenging mental activities stimulate the formation of new nerve cells connections and may encourage new cell generation. Try crosswords, puzzles, crafts and books to keep your mind alert and ready for anything.

This is such an awesome article, it’s worth reading! The power of the mind is just so incredible and limitless! What I read too is that “What you will think is what will it become”. Loved this!

This was both an insightful and informative post to read! Sometimes we tend to ‘overthink’ on the most basic of things, but sometimes that’s the only way things get done. But this makes the process clearer. Thank you so much for sharing!
