How To Motivate Yourself

How to Motivate Yourself. Hello everyone, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I will be sharing a few tips on how to motivate yourself. In our day-to-day life, everything is done by motivation. Every morning we wake up for a reason, to get to work as early as possible or to attend to our family, or we love life and are motivated to take on whatever challenges come. As a single mother, staying motivated is crucial, but it can be exhausting. I admit sometimes I feel less motivated to get on with my day – that’s normal. However, how do you practically motivate yourself when you feel less motivated?

How To Motivate Yourself

Speak Positive Things About Yourself to Yourself

This is something I do all the time. Talking to myself helps because sometimes you need to hear a voice telling you that you are doing great. The moment you start talking positive words to yourself, you’ll have this uplifting feeling that motivates you to push harder and never give up. When you don’t get that from someone else, do it yourself.

Count Your Blessings

Look around you and count your blessings. You have beautiful kids, a place you and your kids call home, and they are happy. It’s natural to look at other people’s lifestyle and wishes you had their lifestyle. Honestly, trust me, you don’t. If you know what happens behind closed doors, you’d understand that some people are built to deal with certain things others can not. Counting your blessings motivates you to cherish what you have.

Set Goals and Celebrate Every Little Win

Setting goals for what you want to achieve helps because it gives you something to wake up to. If you have reached it, this will uplift your spirit and motivate you to set another goal. You’ll have something to work on if you have not achieved any.

Take It One day At A Time

We are always busy, and every hour is rush-hour. Sometimes we want something to happen in a flash and never worry about it again. When my daughter was younger, I remember feeling overwhelmed by how many things I needed to do within so little time. It was so frustrating to wait. However, I learned to calm down and take things slowly because I didn’t want to make a massive mess of things and have no one to blame. Everything takes time; do not rush it.

Plan Ahead

Planning motivates you because it makes you feel excited about the future. In 2016, I decided to put in a college application, and I got accepted to start in 2017. The fact that I got taken motivates me to prepare for the future.

I hope you enjoyed that.
