Meet Dr Yudi Ross. Hey everyone, I hope you are well. In today’s post, I would like you to meet Dr Yudi Ross. Dr Ross is the CEO of two companies – Creating A Seat Consulting Group and Reliable Professional Mobile Notary Services, LLC. I was very excited when Dr Ross accepted my Interview Invite, and I could not wait to hear her story. I have to say, I have learnt a lot from this interview.

Hello, it is a pleasure to interview you. Tell me something important about yourself?

My story is full of failures, triumphs, and disappointments. They are my WHY I can now share my vulnerabilities with others, and WHY I’m passionate about making a difference in the lives of women and encouraging them to know that anything is possible once you get out of your own way.

2020 had a profound effect on many of us. For me, it was an eye-opening year, and it allowed me to gain insight into changes that I needed to make in my career.  With that being said, I declared that 2021 would be the “Year of the Woman”.  After all that 2020 brought, one thing that had become crystal clear to me is that “THE TIME IS NOW FOR WOMEN TO BE FEARLESS.”

What inspired you to start your business?

I never thought that I wanted to be my own boss.  I always thought I needed to work for someone to gain validation for all the years and hard work, and dedication that I had put forth to earn multiple advanced degrees. However, I was not being compensated for all the time, hard work, and dedication it took for me to gain these degrees (at least not in public education).

I knew that I could no longer wait on others to determine my success.  If I wanted to be truly successful, I had to create my own seat at the table and invite others to sit with me. That is exactly what I did when I formed my first business at the beginning of 2021, Creating A Seat Consulting Group. Later, I formed Reliable Professional Mobile Notary Services, LLC in June of 2021.

I knew that I could no longer allow fear, society, social expectations, peer pressure, family, naysayers and stepping into the unknown to be factors that hold me back.

How do you stay motivated in your business?

One of the motivating factors that keep me grounded is that my WHY is bigger than my FEAR.  I know that I have the potential and knowledge to make my business a success.  Success does not happen overnight.  One of the major reasons many people fail or give up is that they want instant gratification for their work and effort, and that is not how things work.  You must be consistent, and you must put in the workday after day after day.

I put forth 150% effort every day towards building by businesses. I truly do believe that success is inevitable!!!

What challenges do you face the most?

One of the challenges that I face at times is blocking out my fears and doubts.  We all battle with imposter syndrome at one point or another during our careers, and it creeps into our subconscious, and it constantly makes you doubt yourself and if you have the ability to create a successful business.  However, you must push those underlying doubts and fears to the side when they veer their ugly face because you would not have made it this far without being the amazing, talented woman that you are.

How do you handle the challenges along with Family Life?

I truly do not have any challenges with family life.  I have the most supportive husband that you could ask for.  My husband supports all my dreams and business ventures 150%.  If not for him, I would not fully divulge my time full-time in building an empire.

What do you do for self-care?

For self-care, I find it important to take mental health days, and I have monthly health checks with my therapist.  It is extremely therapeutic.  Additionally, I make sure to have a ME-DAY on a weekend where I go to the beach and unwind or get my nails and feet done.  This week, I took time out to get a chemical peel, and I took time out to relax and Netflix and chill 😊

I am sure some aspiring Entrepreneurs are reading this. What advice would you give them?

An important piece of advice that I would give to another aspiring entrepreneur is that I  know exactly what it feels like to hold yourself back.  I allowed myself to be held back for so many years.  Part of the reason was due to fear, doubt, and other limiting beliefs.  Even though I have multiple advanced degrees, I still doubted myself.  I thought who would want my services or what I had to offer? I was so wrong. I know many others feel the same way.  You must trust yourself.  There are so many people out there who are willing to give you an opportunity.  All you have to do is JUST START…… Once you begin to walk on the way, the way will appear-Rumi.

I am forever grateful to Yamille Pimentel, President of Spirit Title & Escrow, who took a chance on me and gave me my very first loan signing.  Just simply by me walking into her office and introducing myself and the services that I offer. We have developed a great working relationship, and I have gained industry experience, and my loan signing agent business is beginning to gain momentum.  All it takes is one person to believe in you and give you an opportunity.  The doors will begin to open!!!!

Can you advise the audience on how to support each other during the Global Pandemic?

Collaborate, collaborate, collaborate!!!!

I have collaborated with some amazing women, and it has opened doors and new opportunities for me.  If you do not open your mouth and start to talk about what you are passionate about or what you would like to accomplish, it will not get done (a closed mouth does not get fed).

Thank you so much for the kind words. I didn’t know what I was doing when I started blogging. It was a thought that I had. I just know I can build a website; I enjoyed writing and wanted to create a space to share my story and updates on life as a single mom. Also, I wanted to help single parents who may be struggling with the reality of being a single parent. I am very proud of the journey of the blog and its achievement. And I can not wait to see what the future brings.
