We are two young entrepreneurs from Birmingham, where we are in the property business, and we’re now venturing into the Sports drink business with the UK’s first nootropic sports drink, OPERATE.

What Inspired You To Start Your Business?

We are both into fitness and wanted to create a drink that provided health benefits and great taste. Nootropic is a fascinating area, and we see this being a massive trend over the next few years. Nootropics are drugs, supplements, and other substances claimed to improve cognitive function, mainly executive functions, attention, memory, creativity, or motivation, in healthy individuals. What Challenges Do You Face The Most?

Our biggest challenge is managing our time as we both run other businesses. When we started OPERATE, we committed to spending equal time on both businesses. We also put a lot of focus on the structure and processes, ensuring everything runs as smoothly as possible. We’d still like another few hours each day, but we can give our best to both businesses by keeping focused.

How Do You Handle The Challenges Along With Family Life?

We both try our best to take time away from work to spend quality time with our families to ensure a healthy balance between the two. We believe that not taking time out is a ‘false economy’ – you must look after your mind, body and family if you want to look after your business.

What Do You Do For Self-Care?

We both love going to the gym – so that’s a big part of our self-care routine. For us, it’s about keeping active, eating healthily, and drinking OPERATE!

Our advice is to stay consistent, believe in your vision, and take action. And always remember why you started your business venture in the first place.

My Response

Thank you very much for the question, Malv and Kash.

I started blogging because I wanted to empower women (single mothers specifically) to become more independent and lead a happy and healthy lifestyle. The only way I could do that was to share my own story. In terms of motivation, I had a lot of self-doubts and a lack of confidence in the beginning – what is it about my account that people would find exciting, and How would my story change other people’s lives?

After researching social media and other platforms and outlets, I realised that many single mothers and women were struggling with everything. Whether it is with a newborn baby, managing finances, not knowing where to start or what the future holds for them. I also noticed that there wasn’t enough support to empower single mothers or women, in general, to become more independent.

When I started sharing my story, I discovered that many readers were inspired to change their stories and learn different ways to turn their dream of a better lifestyle into reality. This motivates me to carry on and search for other ways to help.
